Summary

Professor Vivian Lin and colleagues from the University of Queensland and the Queensland University of Technology are working together to develop the Australian Institute of Health Policy Studies.

Professor Lin prepared a paper contextualising the purpose of creating the AIHPS in relation to current health challenges and the nature of health reform debates. The paper acknowledges the challenges of bringing research evidence into health policy but also the importance of continuing to improve the evidence base for health policies.
