Dr Chyrisse Heine received her Honours degree in Speech and Hearing Therapy and my Masters degree (MA) in Audiology from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa. She then completed her PhD (Public Health) in 2003 at La Trobe University. The title of her thesis was: Communication and Psychosocial Profiles of Older Adults with Sensory Loss. Chyrisse currently works as a Lecturer in the Department of Human Communication Sciences at La Trobe University. Her areas of interest include dual sensory loss and Auditory Processing Disorder.
