Health Research Methodology Program

Postgraduate Diploma in Health Research Methodology

The Postgraduate Diploma in Health Research Methodology is offered by most Schools of the faculty to permit graduates or diplomates who are without appropriate qualifications to obtain necessary preparation for study at higher degree by research level. This qualification will assist candidates with professional advancement and progression to postgraduate coursework studies after full or partial completion of the course.

The postgraduate diploma involves one year of full-time study or the equivalent and will include studies to suit the student's background and proposed field of study, a literature review, research methods, and a research project.

Admission Requirements

A relevant degreee is normally required for entry. In certain circumstances, consideration will be given to clinical or academic experience relevant to intended field of study and whether the applicant has demonstrated that potential to undertake research. The School of Physiotherapy requires that applicants have research skills of equivalent standard to the undergradaute physiotherapy (4 years) degree at La Trobe University.
