BSc Hons (Melbourne), MSc (Melbourne)

I took up my appointment at La Trobe University in February, 1998. Prior to that I held an appointment at the Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre, Kew as Program Co-Ordinator and Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist of the Acquired Brain Injury Unit (1992 to 1997). Previously, I had worked at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital , Sydney, as a Clinical Neuropsychologist in the Regional Brain Damage Unit from 1985 to 1992.

My research activities focus on issues relating to alcohol related brain injury, substance related brain injury and acquired brain injury.

Specifically, my interests are in the areas of the effects of social drinking on cognition, recovery from the Korsakof amnesic syndrome and recovery and outcome following acquired brain injury. I am also interested in the acute and chronic effects of marijuana, heroin and benzodiazepines on cognitive function and social issues related to the legalisation of substances.
