Dr Andrew C. Itter was awarded his doctorate in Philosophy of Religion from La Trobe University, Bendigo in 2004. He is a recipient the D. M. Myers University medal.

Andrew is the Head of Religious Education at Girton Grammar School. He has published works on the theology and mysticism of Clement of Alexandria and Psuedo-Dionysius the Areopagite.

Esoteric Teaching in the Stromateis of Clement of Alexandra is Andrew's first major book. It is published by the esteemed Brill academic publishers.

The Stromateis of Clement of Alexandra (c.150-215 CE) have received much scholarly debate.

Esoteric Teaching in the Stromateis of Clement of Alexandra takes a new appraoch to deciphering the nature and purpose of these enigmatic books concentrating on the close relationship between method and doctrine.

The outcome is a concise summary of current scholarship on Clement's method and a fresh picture of how Clement applies this to the transmission of esoteric doctrines.

Esoteric Teaching in the Stromateis of Clement of Alexandra is available through Brill and Amazon.
