Ass. Prof Uždavinys in new anthology

Associate Professor Algis Uždavinys' essay, 'Animation of Statues in Ancient Civilizations and Neoplatonism' appears in Panayiota Vassilopoulou and Stephen R. L. Clark, ed., Late Antique Epistemology:Other Ways to Truth, New York and Basingstoke: Palgrave Macmillan, 2009.

This book presents a collection of scholarly papers on the techniques used by late antique philosophers to discover truth. The book introduces the field to novices, without abandoning the scholarly high ground, and places late antique philosophy in its cultural and historical context. It also features international contributors from many sub-disciplines. The book shows the effect of the late antique philosophers on later philosophical exploration and their importance for modern thought.

Late Antique Epistemology:Other Ways to Truth is available through Macmillian and Amazon.
