Privacy resources for the University community

As part of implementing the University's privacy policies, resources have been developed to assist members of the University community to collect and handle personal information in a manner that complies with privacy laws.

All staff are encouraged to read the University's Privacy policies so that you know what your rights and responsibilities are as a University Officer

Staff should also have an understanding of the Information Privacy Principles (IPPs) which apply to personal information. A short guide to the IPPs is available here

Online Privacy Training

Please contact the University's Privacy Officer to obtain access to the online privacy training module.

The Online Privacy Training is provided to help raise staff awareness and understanding in collecting and handling personal and health information in accordance with privacy laws.The training forms part of the induction program for new staff.

Privacy Impact Assessments

The Privacy Impact Assessment Template has been prepared to assist you in conducting a Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA). It is designed to evaluate compliance with the Information Privacy Principles (IPPs) contained in the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (PDPA), and identify potential privacy risks and risk mitigation strategies.
