POD1PDM - Podiatric Dermatology

 

This subject aims to introduce you to the structure and function of skin and to the various cutaneous pathologies of podiatric relevance and their management.

Assessment

The assessment of POD1PDM is by a 2.5 hour written examination at the end of semester one (70%), an assignment (1500 words) to be submitted during semester (20%) and a class test during the semester (10%). A pass is required for each component to satisfactorily pass the unit.

 

 

Teaching & learning

This unit will account for 52 hours of contact comprising lectures, self-directed learning tasks, small group activities and in-class assessments. Students will be required to supplement lectures with reading materials from the ‘Podiatric Dermatology Manual' and other provided articles.
