CUTANEOUS BLOOD SUPPLY

Function:

  - metabolic and nutrient needs

 

  -aid in thermoregulation of body

 

PATTERN OF BLOOD FLOW

From deep arteries via perforator arteries to vascular network known as ‘plexus'

Subpapillary

 

Terminal capillary

 

Lymph vessels

 

Associated with the vascular plexuses

 

 

Thermoregulation

 

  - Arteriovenous anastomoses

 

  - Glomus body
