How was this done?

The image on the front page of the LTU Radiology website was obtained using a cadaver foot and a helical CT machine. The cadaver foot was sectioned in 3mm slices and then the forefoot was reconstructed in 3D using the CT machine's standard software. The files were then transferred to a desktop PC, and then animated by stiching them together.
