Enthesopathy Enthesopathy is mechanically induced heel pain which is localised to the calcaneus. Constant stress from the plantar fascia at the site of its insertion results in enthesitis. Progresion results in new bone formation resulting in a 'spur'. They are quite commonly asymptomatic. Page maintained by:
