Bipartite Sesamoids The sesamoids which lie within the tendons of the flexor halucis brevis tendons are quite commonly found to be bipartite. It is not uncommon for this presentation to be asypmtomatic. It usually affects the tibial sesamoid. Differentiation is made from a fractured sesamoid by smooth, rounded borders and bilateral presence.
