Calcified Vessels

These vessels will be visible on radiographs as tubelike structures which are not continuous and they will follow the normal course of the artery. These structures should be easily distinguishable from pathological or congenital abnormalities.

 

 

 

 

Medial Calcific Sclerosis

Lateral Oblique View - The digital artery lateral to the 1st Metatarsal is calcified.

Calcification of the arteries does not result in a narrower lumen.
