Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Masters of Community Planning and Development

Course Structure

The Graduate Certificate requires the completion of three 20 credit point units, the Graduate Diploma six 20 credit point units and the Masters twelve 20 credit point units. The Masters is 240 credit points.

Research Methods for Planners
Principles of Strategic Planning
Negotiation, Mediation and Community Consultation
Statutory and Environmental Planning or Community Development
Climate Futures – Water, Land Use and Development Implications
Project Management and Professional Ethics

Year Two
Globalisation and Communities; Rural and Regional
Urban Design Project or Community Development Project or Environmental and Social Policy
Social and Community Impact Assessment
Indigenous and Post Colonial Heritage or Catchment Management
Minor Thesis (equivalent to two units)
