Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Masters of Community Planning and Development

Entrance Requirements

The normal entry requirements for the two year equivalent full time Masters are an approved three year undergraduate degree or a relevant approved postgraduate diploma and work experience. Enrolment may be granted on the basis of relevant work experience and achievement at least 70 in all units comprising the Graduate Certificate. Applicants who have related post graduate qualifications may be eligible for credit for previous study in accordance with the University policy on Credit and Advanced Standing.

Entry to a one year equivalent full time Masters is based on an approved four year undergraduate degree (e.g. Bachelor of Urban, Rural and Environmental Planning), an approved undergraduate degree with Honours, or a three year undergraduate degree with an approved post graduate qualification. Students possessing an approved relevant one year equivalent full time Graduate Diploma must also have relevant and approved work experience plus two approved fourth year units. Students who hold the current Graduate Diploma in Rural and Regional Planning from La Trobe University can enrol in the one year Masters in Community Planning and Development provided they complete the fourth level units (Research Methods).
