What do our students say?

I’m a mature age student and I love being at uni. At first I was dubious about returning to study as my life was already full, but now with some time management and family support there is no stopping me. I chose this course as I’m interested in the subjects offered and I want to be a part of the big picture when it comes to looking after the environment.
The best thing about my course is the skills and knowledge that I am acquiring which will mean I can play a part in making a difference for future generations. What I love most about La Trobe is the quality of the academics who are still practicing in the field and who are sharing their years of experience with us.
This course has opened up many doors for me. I eventually want to work in remote outback communities in order to improve and revitalise their towns, as well as with the mining and development industries.

I saw information about the course on the La Trobe University website and decided that the course would be interesting and would lead me into an exciting career. I wanted to do a course that would lead into a specific career path.
I have found the teaching at La Trobe to be impressive. The lecturers are knowledgeable and very approachable. After my degree I hope to work in Australia as well as overseas. A career in planning has the ability to take me anywhere in the world.
My experiences so far have been very positive and fun. The students and staff are great – I am very pleased that I chose La Trobe. Bendigo is a great campus with a great feel.
