Microbiology is central to many aspects of the modern world. Microorganisms contribute to our health, and play a significant role in the manufacturing of food and the controlling of waste.
Depending on your interest and chosen subjects, there are range of opportunities in government and private services. You can also go on to postgraduate studies across the various disciplines at La Trobe University.
You can study microbiology in the Bachelor of Biological Sciences, Bachelor of Biomedical Science, and the Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Biosciences. Short courses are also available.
