About the Department
At La Trobe, classes in science are generally quite small, creating a close-knit community of students that crosses year levels. Academic staff provide personal assistance to students through tutorials, laboratory classes and by appointment outside class times.
Our course has a 'hands-on science' focus with a strong emphasis on practical skills and practical experience. The 'hands-on science' theme continues with an opportunity for real research laboratory experience in final year projects.
