Role of Return to Work Coordinators

The University has a number of Return to Work Coordinators to advise all employees in regards to Occupational Rehabilitation and Workers Compensation matters. Specifically their role is to:

• Assist injured or ill employees where practicable to remain at, or return to, work.
• Commence Occupational Rehabilitation support as early as possible.
• Liaise with the employee, their supervisor and treating medical and health professionals to identify how best to support that person via the Occupational Rehabilitation program.
• Monitor the progress of the employee with respect to return to work programs
• Prepare Return to Work plans where appropriate
