Profile
 We are an association of Filipino students, members of the academic community, young professionals, as well as alumni and friends. We are based in Victoria having a support-base from Filipino students, faculty members and staff from various universities.
Barangay Australia animates the community spirit of bayanihan (group support), pakikipagkapwa (fellowship), and kasiyahan (fun) commonly found in the barangay (village). Through social activities, we faciliate a cultural bridge between local and international students, providing a unifying force across universities. While ‘Barangay Australia’ was only coined in 2005 in conjunction with the May 1 gathering, we trace our beginnings with our kababayans (compatriots) who would welcome and offer support to newly arrived students with the famous Pinoy-brand hospitality.
  
  
Barangay Australia operates through volunteer members acting as university-based point-persons, project coordinators, and activity initiators.
