Olga Tennison Autism Research Centre
Helping Children with Autism Initiatives
The Olga Tennison Autism Research Centre is pleased to be a Victorian service provider in the Australian Government’s Helping Children with Autism package which recognises the importance of diagnosis and early intervention treatments and services for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), along with the need for positive partnerships between their families and schools.
Research indicates that the number of children with ASD in Australian preschools and schools is increasing. Teachers and other staff need skills and knowledge, as well as the support of parents and carers, to improve the educational outcomes of these children.
