Department of Clinical Vision Sciences Orthoptic Clinical Education Conference
The Orthoptic Clinical Education Conference is an annual Department event, incorporating final year orthoptic students who will be presenting their clinical experiences, Clinical Educators and staff of the Department of Clinical Vision Sciences, La Trobe University. The aim of this annual conference is to convey clinical and educational perspectives. It also has the purposes of introducing students, who will soon enter the profession, to conference participation, as well as providing a continuing and professional education opportunity for orthoptists involved in the Departmentsl's Clinical Education Program. Venue The Orthoptic Clinical Education Conference is held at the John Scott Meeting House (PDF) on La Trobe University's Bundoora campus. Registration The meeting is held in March of each year. Registrations forms are available for download early in the year. Conference Program / Proceedings Student Prize The Leonie Collins Memorial Prize is an award that commemorates the contribution of Leonie Collins to orthoptics. This prize is awarded annualy to the most outstanding student presentation at the Orthoptic Clinical Education Conference. Clinical Education Links
