Statement on the Use of Technologies to Support Learning and Teaching at La Trobe University. Learning Technologies Policy and Governance Committee
You are strongly encouraged to attend training in the use of the LMS. Experience has shown that students of staff who are familiar with the technology and confident in the environment experience significantly fewer difficulties in their own use of the technology.
What You Should Do
If you intend to use the LMS as one of your teaching tools, it is vital that your students know this. Students will need to know where and how to log in and who to approach if they encounter problems.
Students should be provided with a printed version of access information including, username and password protocols. A document has been prepared which includes a standard version of this information. This file can be downloaded to your computer for the addition of information peculiar to your LMS unit. If your students are required to be on campus, this information could also be presented at their first lecture or tutorial.
