Research Foci within the Centre 2006

Understanding and shaping human experience of region and place.

This focus is centred on the ways in which education and experience shapes social attitudes and practices to the land - aspects that in the short and long term will influence human and environmental futures in Australia . The context for this research within the Centre includes: environmental education by community groups, NGOs, and government authorities, environmental interpretation in parks and reserves, eco-tourism and nature guiding enterprises and outdoor recreation participation.
