This is a research-focused clinic which is staffed by occupational therapists trained in driver assessment and rehabilitation, and who are registered with VicRoads as assessors. The clinic accepts referrals for clients who must have their driving skills assessed as a result of injury, illness or age-related functional changes. The clinic conducts off road evaluations to determine clients' preparedness for driving, and on road evaluations of clients' driving skills. Reports with recommendations are sent to VicRoads.

The clinic provides opportunities for related undergraduate research studies, and also offers a postgraduate continuing education course in driving education and rehabilitation.
