of Occupational Health - Bundoora
The Master of Occupational Health by coursework addresses the need for highly
trained personnel in occupational health and safety, who are required to
apply specialised knowledge and skills in professional practice, service
delivery, health and safety policy, and health promotion and education.
These professionals will become a source of expertise in education and research
in occupational health.
Admission requirements
Applicants should hold a recognised honours
degree or equivalent; or have completed an approved masters preliminary
program in the health sciences or other course (in a relevant discipline);
or have completed a graduate certificate or Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a
postgraduate diploma in an appropriate area and at an appropriate standard.
Pre-requisite for entry
Master of Occupational Health applicants must complete the four Graduate Certificate units (ie the first year of the Graduate Diploma) at an appropriate standard in order to proceed to the Master of Occupational Health. Please refer to the course structure for the first year of the Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational
Health and Safety.
Course structure
The Master of Occupational Health is offered
by distance education. It is offered on a part-time basis over three years
(including the first year of the Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Health
and Safety). Full-time candidature may be considered.

Fees
In 2009 the Master of Occupational Health will attract tuition fees of $12,740 per annum ($1592.50 per 15 credit point unit).
