Advanced Clinical Reasoning & Decision Making (OCT5CRD /OCT6CRD)

This unit includes five one day workshops examining clinical reasoning and decision making and how these support the clinical practice in an interdisciplinary environment. It is available to occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nurses, social workers, and other suitably qualified health professionals. It may also suit qualified health professionals enrolled in professional doctorate and Masters by coursework degrees.

It explores the development of professional knowledge and the relationship between theoretical knowledge and practical expertise. While theoretical knowledge is traditionally thought to be developed separately from the clinical setting, this unit examines how theoretical knowledge and clinical practice can inform each other. Literature to support this unit is drawn from disciplines such as medicine, education and allied health sciences.

Cost for unit:
$2,250 if taken as a single unit of study, or $1,225 for students enrolled in Masters degrees (OCT5CRD). For professional doctorate students (OCT6CRD), this unit does not attract fees.
