The Bachelor of Nursing Science is a flexible course offering a wide array of units for students wishing to become nurses. This allows students to choose one or many fields within the discipline to focus on in their future career.

Have you been on clinical placement? How did you find it?

At first clinical placement can be daunting when you are transferring theoretical knowledge into real life situations. Clinical teachers act as guides in a safe and supportive environment. You really feel a partnership exists between the student and teacher as they work together towards a mutual goal.

Have you found the La Trobe environment a supportive one in terms of helpful lecturers, good library resources, etc?

Lecturers at every opportunity support and encourage students to approach them about any of the subject matter being studied. Although studying is important, La Trobe also instills a value for balance in life, so there are numerous cafes, special interest groups, sporting events and a weekly market that helps you unwind and enjoy your time at university.
