Postgraduate Admission Requirements
Postgraduate Courses co-ordinated by the Division of Nursing and Midwifery are open to applicants who are eligible for registration as Division 1 nurses with the Nurses Board of Victoria, and have at least 1 year of post-registration nursing experience. The courses are designed for nurses who hold a degree or diploma from a university or college, but applications are also accepted from graduates of hospital based programs.
To be eligible for Child, Family and Community Nursing studies, applicants must also have their registration endorsed for midwifery practice.
One year's recent experience in an acute medical-surgical area is a pre-requisite for the Emergency, Critical Care and Perioperative nursing.
