The Division provides courses overseas through local partners in Singapore, Bhutan and Japan.
Singapore
The Division of Nursing and Midwifery of La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia, in cooperation with the Singapore Nurses Association, is offering its post-registration Bachelor of Nursing course. The course is conducted by flexible learning mode with 164 hours of face-to-face teaching by La Trobe lecturers. The course is conducted over 20 months and is designed to enable experienced registered nurses to expand their knowledge base in the discipline of nursing and apply this to nursing practice. Study guides, required readings and activities are supplied. Nursing areas covered include practice, management and education.
The course is accredited by the Singapore Nursing Board.
The course is equivalent to the post-registration Bachelor of Nursing Degree course conducted by La Trobe University in Melbourne and students who successfully complete the course will receive the same award.

Bhutan
The Division delivers a post-registration Bachelor of Nursing course to local Bhutanese students.
The La Trobe course upgrades the qualifications of Bhutanese who trained as nurses under a local scheme based on traditional British and Indian nursing education systems.
It is a joint initiative of La Trobe University, the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Royal Government of Bhutan.
The graduates, all experienced working nurses, complete a nine-module advanced study in nursing and midwifery based on La Trobe standards and procedures and included exchange of learning materials via the internet. La Trobe lecturers teach the introduction to each module
Japan
The Master of Nursing Studies is delivered to students in Japan. The Master of Nursing Studies course involves flexible self-directed study based on Japanese and English materials prepared by La Trobe, complemented by Japan-based tutors and Japanese-speaking lecturers and administrators at the Melbourne (Bundoora) campus.
