International students' Aussie welcome

A dedicated international student day on Monday 26 February kick-starts Orientation Week, when La Trobe University welcomes new students across its six campuses.

New international students will enjoy a fun ‘welcome to Australia’ afternoon, starting with an inspiring traditional welcome to country by the local Indigenous community, followed by a native wildlife show in which students will be able to get up close to Aussie animals including wallabies, snakes, a dingo, a crocodile and a lizard.

Tim Tam and Vegemite tasting along with learning some Aussie slang are also on the agenda at this afternoon of Australiana.
