Cann Group relocates to La Trobe

Cann Group Limited (ASX: CAN) has relocated its corporate headquarters to La Trobe University’s Technology Enterprise Centre (TEC) in Bundoora.

The TEC is a key facility within the La Trobe University Research and Development Park and houses innovative businesses and organisations from a variety of sectors.  The relocation of its corporate headquarters to La Trobe’s TEC comes as Cann expands its operations from both a production and headcount perspective.

La Trobe University Pro Vice-Chancellor for Industry Engagement Dr Daniel Grant said attracting Cann to the TEC was another example of the University’s ability to establish high quality new business partnerships.

“Over many years we have worked to build strong connections with industry and have created and fostered many mutually beneficial relationships across government, private business and community groups,” said Dr Grant.

“With the TEC we have been able to attract tenants across sectors including biotechnology, information technology and agriculture, and we are excited to be able to add Cann Group to the list.”

Cann Group CEO Peter Crock said: “The TEC at La Trobe provides us with a base that fits with our aim to be a growing and innovative leader in the Australian medicinal cannabis industry.

“The relationship with La Trobe University is one of our most valuable partnerships and our new TEC location will reinforce that value.”

Cann will continue to operate separate R&D and cultivation facilities at undisclosed locations in Victoria; the expanded Southern facility, and a new and larger Northern facility which is due to be commissioned within the next few months.
