Chemistry at the Nanoscale
13 Mar 2013
High school students will learn about the central role of chemistry in nanotechnology and some of the expected applications that will appear over the next decade. They will see how certain materials are used such as quantum dots and liquid magnets.
The Hartung Youth Lecture Series, sponsored by The Royal Australian Chemical Institute (RACI), is targeted at secondary students in Years 9-12, and aims to inspire a love of and fascination with science. The lecture promises to be an engaging and educational experience, in the tradition of the lectures given by Professor Hartung over 50 years ago.
Enquiries about the lecture may be directed to Kristen Pascoe on 03 9479 2556 or email fste.events@latrobe.edu.au.
