Mid-year entry ‘changed my life’

‘If you're ready to start your degree, you don't have to wait until 2013,' says Brooke O'Brien Ms O’Brien was working in real estate when she decided she needed to start her degree. Inspired by her favourite subject, Migration Studies, three generations of her family are now travelling to Ireland to further their research of the family history.

Mid-year entry meant that Ms O’Brien could structure and fast track her degree to suit her lifestyle.

‘It has opened my mind in more ways than I could have ever imagined. I can go between studying the beginning of western thought and philosophy to studying political hurdles for rural and regional Australia today,’ said Ms O’Brien.

‘I would advise people to enrol into university when you are eager and open to learning. You are able to get much more out of a course if you approach it with an open mind.

‘If you're ready to start your degree, you don't have to wait until 2013. La Trobe can provide the help and support you need to start studying mid-year. With a selection of undergraduate and postgraduate courses on offer, you can apply now,’ Ms O’Brien said.
