The citation was announced at midnight on Monday, 26 February.

Announcing it the EOWA said La Trobe was one of 131 Australian organisations positioned to win the war on talent by earning the EOWA citation - through increasing representation of women at senior levels, and employment policies that help employees maintain work/life balance.

La Trobe Pro Vice Chancellor (Equity and Student Services) Dr Kerry Ferguson, said it was pleasing that La Trobe had again been recognised as an ‘Employer of Choice for Women’ organisation.

“The University recognises the complex and competing demands for families and has made a major commitment to their support,” Dr Ferguson said.

“The University highly values the talents and skills of all its employees and seeks to ensure that equity and fairness for women is guaranteed at all levels of the organisation. We seek to employ and retain the best talent available to ensure a vibrant and productive workforce.”
