Graeme Samuel to deliver La Trobe University Media Studies Lecture
La Trobe University’s School of Communication, Arts and Critical Enquiry will hold its Annual Media Studies Lecture on Monday 14 August.
The public lecture will be presented by Mr Graeme Samuel AO, Chairman of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission. Mr Samuel will speak on ‘Australia’s Changing Communications and Media Landscape’.
The lecture will be held at 6pm in the Theatrette of the State Library of Victoria, 328 Swanston St, City. Admission is free.
Mr Samuel has been Chairman of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission since July 2003. Until then he was President of the National Competition Council, Chairman of the Melbourne and Olympic Parks Trust, a Commissioner of the Australian Football League, a member of the Board of the Docklands Authority, and a Director of Thakral Holdings Limited.
He relinquished all these offices to assume his position with the ACCC.
