Free advice to help resolve public disputes

Dr Peter Adler – President of one of the world’s leading environmental and public policy think tanks, the Keystone Center in Colorado, USA, – will give a free public lecture when he visits La Trobe University’s Conflict Resolution Program, in the School of Law, on Thursday 25 August 2005 at 5.30pm.

The lecture, titled, ‘Multiparty Disputes – Building Trust: Twenty Things you can do to help Stakeholders Talk More Effectively’, will be held at the La Trobe University City Campus, 215 Franklin Street, Melbourne.

The Keystone Center develops applied, consensus-based policy solutions to science-intensive energy, environmental and public health-related policy problems.

Dr Adler is a specialist in multi-party negotiation and problem solving, He writes, trains, and teaches in diverse areas of conflict management and has extensive experience in land planning issues, water problems, marine and coastal affairs, strategic resource management and business negotiations.

Dr Adler’s lecture will outline helpful strategies for disputes involving corporate, government, non-government, indigenous and community stakeholders.
