La Trobe University – it’s closer than you think!

An Information and Application Day specifically for international students currently living in Melbourne, will take place at La Trobe University’s City campus (215 Franklin Street, Melbourne) on Friday, 27 May 2005.

It will be held from 2 pm to 6 pm at the campus, which is located opposite the Queen Victoria Market car park.

All international students are welcome, including those currently attending secondary school, TAFE or language school, and who are interested in commencing a course of study in July 2005. Potential postgraduate students are also welcome to attend.

International students studying the VCE or IB in Victoria apply to enter Victorian universities through VTAC. Students completing other Year 12 programs apply direct to individual Victorian universities.

La Trobe University has a large international student population, the majority of whom are enrolled at the University’s main Melbourne campus at Bundoora, and the Bendigo campus. International students at La Trobe University receive excellent academic and personal support whilst being part of a welcoming and diverse community.

Representatives from all five La Trobe faculties: Education; Health Sciences; Humanities and Social Sciences; Law and Management; and Science, Technology and Engineering - as well as from the Bendigo campus - will be available on the Information and Application Day to provide course and application advice to potential students.

Admission staff from the La Trobe University International Programs Office will also attend and will be able to issue letters of offer to qualified students on the day. The usual $60 application fee will be waived for all applications submitted on the day.

Presentations will take place every hour, at 2pm (including official welcome), 3pm, 4pm and 5pm.
