Media Students talk sustainability on REAL television.

Real TVREAL series 3 is a 6 part series showcasing work from La Trobe University 2012 Media: Screen + Sound production students. Each episode looks at a different aspect of the series theme sustainability, through the hosts who are joined each week by an expert from la Trobe University, some folk on the streets and a short documentary.

It’s a fresh, new, innovative series about real people and real stories dealing with sustainable ideas and practice happening around Melbourne.

To check REAL out, tune into C31 (44 on the TV network) on Monday nights over summer.

Episode ONE – 10pm MONDAY 17th DECEMBER 2013
REAL hosts, Chelsea Janson & Damien Ractliffe chat to Dr John Morgan, Lecturer from the Faculty of Science, Technology and Engineering at La Trobe University about food and environmental sustainability.
And screen a documentary “Every Last Bite” by graduating Media student Amanda Hoole.

Episode TWO –10pm MONDAY 24th DECEMBER 2013
REAL hosts, Brad Guy & Mark Harris chat to Professor Robert Manne from La Trobe University about sustaining a better immigration practice for refugees.
And screen a documentary “Murugo (home)” by graduating Media student Taya Grainger.

Episode THREE –  10pm MONDAY 31st DECEMBER 2013
REAL hosts, Damien Ractliffe & Anthony Ziella chat to Ms Siann Bowman, Lecturer from the Faculty of Health Sciences at La Trobe University about human endurance and cultural sustainability.
And screen a documentary “Turn it Up Melbourne” by graduating Media students Naz Mavili and Ana Boado.

REAL hosts, Brad Guy & Mark Harris chat to Dr Warwick Grant from La Trobe University about sustaining family and cultural traditions.

REAL hosts, Anthony Ziella & Chelsea Janson chat to Dr Jan Libich, Senior Lecturer from Faculty of Business, Economics and Law at La Trobe University about sustainable fashion practices and necessity verses splurging.
