Student Bullying- new policy

The University is committed to providing a healthy and safe environment for all of its students. To ensure students have appropriate protection and support, a new Bullying & Violence – Student/Student policy and set of procedures have been approved. The management of bullying and violence within the University encompasses prevention, response and review of policy.

This new policy and procedures also addresses cyber bullying. Cyber bullying may include, but is not limited to repeated unreasonable behaviour including harassing, humiliating, threatening or embarrassing another person through electronic methods, such as instant messaging, email or text messaging, inappropriate use of social media including posts on Facebook and Twitter.

The new policy and procedures are available on the La Trobe University Policy Library and will also be found on the Student Complaints website.
