Neuromarketing and social marketing – TAC research to be presented in France in July

Professor Gillian Sullivan Mort will be part of a Special Session Symposium at the Academy of Marketing Science World Marketing Congress in Reims, France in July, 2011. The symposium addresses the applications of neuro-marketing to social marketing, particularly as applied to the social advertising strategies of the TAC (Traffic Accident Commission) in Victoria, Australia.

The research was funded by the TAC. Neuro-marketing applies new advances in neuro-psychology and research tests using techniques such as EEGs and FMRIs to responses to marketing strategies. In this research responses by young drivers to advertising about speeding was studied.
