The Library and the ASK La Trobe Help Zone in the Borchardt Library are undergoing an upgrade to bring you a better place to study, work and meet.
The upgrade will include a new, modern and welcoming front entrance to the library, along with an improved ASK La Trobe Help Zone, a brand new self-help area, the addition of a social space and updated ICT and AV technologies.
Works are scheduled from July - October with all services operating during this time, including:
- ASK La Trobe Help Zone
- Library collections, services and support
- IT support
- Study areas and printing facilities
- Writer's Block café
To minimise disruption, noisy works will be undertaken during non-peak periods where ever possible. Alternative study areas* can be found at:
- Library levels 2 & 3 for quiet and silent study
- The Learning Commons
- Thomas Cherry Building Level 1
The High Demand collection will be relocated on level 1. Look out for signage for their new location.
Watch this space to keep informed on progress, planned disruptions and changes to building access and services, or come and say hello to our helpful staff in the library if you have questions.
We look forward to sharing this great space with you.
