All staff and HDR students are urged to claim their research outputs to contribute to the 2018 ERA publication data collection, Academic Workload Planning, and TEQSA.
Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) is the Australian Government's triennial program for collecting information about the University's research performance. The ERA aims to identify and promote excellence in research within Australia's higher education sector, using a combination of metrics and expert review. It provides ratings for all discipline areas, enabling national and international comparison of Australian research.
La Trobe's results in the 2015 ERA were outstanding, with a more than doubling of the number of specific research areas ranked 'well above world standard' (ERA 5) in comparison to the 2012 ERA. More than 80% of the areas evaluated at La Trobe in 2015 were rated at, above, or well above world standard (ERAs 3, 4 and 5 respectively).
Staff and HDR students can contribute to La Trobe's 2018 ERA by logging into My Publications using their La Trobe login details, claiming all publications and adding any missing publications by 21 April 2017. Claiming publications ensures that publications are accurately recorded for ERA 2018. Information about publications is also crucial for La Trobe's Academic Workload Planning, and for submission to TEQSA.
