The 2015 Chinese Cultural Day went off with a bang in the La Trobe Agora last week, alongside many other cultural exhibits and activities. This event was proudly organised by us, the Confucius Institute, alongside the Australia China Youth Association and the Chinese Scholars and Student Association.
The event hosted entertaining cultural experiences such as lion dancing, Chinese Kung Fu and group dances. Many people took part in the cultural stall activities, which included Chinese calligraphy and the chopstick challenge.
Our cultural events are a compliment to the Confucius Institute's educational language programs and have a great outreach potential to the University community. We offer a variety of organised cultural events, which when combined with education, they engage the audience with Chinese culture in a direct and interesting fashion.
