La Trobe academic awarded fellowship

Dr Nobuaki Yamashita, from the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law has recently been awarded a Japan Studies Fellowship for 2014.

This fellowship, funded by the Japan Foundation, supports preeminent foreign scholars in Japanese studies to give them an opportunity to conduct research in Japan.

The fellowship duration is 5 months (monthly stipend and travel costs).

This year there were 14 applications, with only three being selected for funding. 

Nobu's project is: Globalisation of Japanese firms.  Nobu will be affiliated to the Institute of Economic Research at Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo, Japan during his fellowship.
