Climate change impacts on agriculture

Reduced rainfall, significantly reduced wheat crops and heat-stressed dairy cows. These are just some of the impacts that climate change will have on agriculture in Australia, according to Alistair Watson, freelance economist.

In this interview with Lin Crase, Director of the Centre for Water Policy and Management, Allistair explains the impacts we'll experience and what we'll need to do to cope.

His message is that, as a civilisation, we'll need to be very innovative if we are to maintain agricultural production in an era of climate change.
