The National Centre for Prosthetics and Orthotics is a Centre within the Division of Allied Health in the Faculty of Health Sciences at La Trobe University. The mission of the National Centre for Prosthetics and Orthotics is to provide high quality, relevant education in prosthetics and orthotics. In particular, to prepare competent and safe entry level clinicians to serve the needs of Australians.

The 2009 Student Presentation Symposium

The Student Presentation Symposium, sponsored by Reis Orthopaedics and Surgical Services, showcases the work of our honours and third year students completing their Independent Study Project.

Students completing the Independent Study Project undertake either a research and development (R&D) type project or complete a variety of different ‘Clinical Challenges’ that aim to develop the same suite of skills using real-world scenarios more typical of a clinical environment.

The symposium will be held on the 2nd of November, 2009.
