"Issues in Nanotechnology": our flagship seminar series

The "Issues in Nanotechnology" seminar series provides students with a very broad overview of the field of nanotechnology, and with the opportunity to explore ideas and themes outside the boundaries of the units that comprise the Nanotechnology / Science double degree. Students from every year level of the program attend the seminar series, providing an ideal opportunity for networking and for creating a vibrant nanotechnology student community at La Trobe.

Six seminars are presented to students per semester by practitioners in the area of nanotechnology from academia, research organisations and industry. These cover significant areas and new developments. Students are required to provide a written response to the seminars. The response grades from simple summaries to more detailed analysis of the ideas presented and the inclusion of supplementary material to support a commentary or projected development.
