Student Support Services
Student Support Services in the Residences Building give students a single point of contact for free and confidential support, information and referral. Students can come for help with:
- personal issues (e.g. adjusting to study, exam stress, counselling)
- complaints and grievances
- finances, budgeting and student loans
- accommodation
- health and welfare
- academic and study skills
- disability support
- courses/subject advice
- tertiary admission applications
- scholarships.

Counselling

Financial assistance
Indigenous student support
Our Indigenous Student Services Officer provides services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. For more information, see the Office of the Director, Indigenous Education site.
International student support
IT support and computer skills
We have a wide range of computer services and facilities to support students during their studies. Free email is provided to all students while they are enrolled, and there’s online IT training to ensure our graduates have good computing skills. If you want to gain confidence in using a computer for university assignments, Sunraysia Institute of TAFE offers a certificate I in IT. We offer workshops for mature age students returning to study.

Study skills
The Academic Language and Learning Unit provide resources and support to help students build the academic skills they need for university. Students can attend study skills workshops and get individual advice and help.
