The campus offers a range of student support services including; childcare, Indigenous student services, study skills, disability support, counselling, career planning assistance and financial assistance.

Child Care Centre in Mildura

The Child Care Centre is located on campus in Benetook Avenue and has been Quality Accredited through the National Childcare Accreditation Council. The fully equipped centre caters for children of students, staff and members of the community, aged between 6 weeks and 12 years. The centre is run by a Committee of Management and is funded by the Department of Community Health and Services.

The centre employs experienced and qualified staff who provide age related educational activities including a kindergarten program, morning and afternoon teas, nutritious and balanced meals, sleep facilities and nappies.

Bookings must be made in advance as vacancies may be limited. Inspection of facilities is invited and enquiries welcomed. Contact the Director of the Child Care Centre on 03 5022 3791.

Library and Bookshop

The Gambetta Library is a joint-use facility between Sunraysia Institute of TAFE and La Trobe University, and is conveniently situated for easy access by both groups of users.

A bookshop and printroom are part of the library complex. The bookshop stocks prescribed texts and course materials, a comprehensive range of art supplies and general stationery.

The print room services include large runs of photocopying, laminating and binding services.

The collection of monographs and visual resources is available to both the La Trobe and TAFE communities. La Trobe staff and students have their own librarian to service research and other information needs, to maintain a local collection that is relevant to university courses, and to process intercampus and interlibrary loans.

Through a very efficient intercampus lending system Mildura students have access to all borrowable materials held at any La Trobe campus library.

The La Trobe librarys extensive holdings of online journals and other electronic resources are accessible 24/7. La Trobe- networked computers are readily available for online access.

Card-operated high quality photocopiers are situated in the library.

Migrant Education Centre

The Centre provides programs in English language tuition to adults from non-English speaking backgrounds who require skills in English as a Second Language (ESL). Classes are provided at various levels of tuition from Settlement (new arrivals) to Vocational and English for Further Education.

Printroom

The Printroom provides large print-run photocopying, colour copying and stationery for use within the campus. External clients are welcome to utilise the high quality printing facilities that include a range of binding/stapling options.

SUNITafe Canteen

La Trobe students have ready access to canteen services operated within TAFE facility offering a broad range of foods and refreshments.

Video Conference Facilities

International standard video conference facilities available for external client use. Options include the use of class room style facility which can seat up to a maximum of 40 participants or the Lecture Theatre, which caters for up to 130 participants.
